VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL begins in the morning at 8:30 p.m.  All the classes are decorated and ready for the kids in the morning.  We are looking forward to all that God is going to do this week in the lives of the young people that are going to be at Vacation Bible School this week. Please keep us in your prayers this week.

We had a great day today in the Lord’s house.  The lesson this morning for Sunday School was out of Jude 22 on making a difference in someone’s life.  In order for us to make a difference in the lives of others we are going to have to have compassion.  It won’t happen any other way.  Without compassion we will not care about the lives of others.  But the Bible says that only some will have compassion.  It’s kind of a sad statement to be written in the Bible.  It would be better if it had said and all had compassion.  Just shows that not everybody will have compassion, only some will have compassion and make a difference in other people’s lives.  We have compassion on them by helping others, caring for them, helping them through a trial, or praying for them.  All those ways are ways we can show compassion to others.  We all will make a difference in a person’s life.  It will either be for the good or for the bad.  People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.  If you have compassion on someone, you’ll make a good difference in their life, but if you don’t care then you will leave a bad difference in their life.  Do you have compassion?  Do you want to make a difference in other people’s lives for the better, for the good?

This morning Pastor preached out of Nehemiah 1:5-11 on “Building Walls in the Presence of my Enemies.”  Everything we do for Christ causes opposition. Why the opposition? It is to try and discourage us from doing anything for the Lord.  They do not want the wall built.  As long as we are doing nothing, our enemies are happy and content.  No matter what we do for Christ we are going to do it in front of our enemies.  In order for us to build the walls in the presence of our enemies there has to be a plea for help.  We will have to plead to God for Him to help us if we want to do anything for God.  If we can just get God to help us, the job will get done. It will work.  Secondly, there must be a passion for the heap 2:11-14.  Instead of looking at the mess and saying it’s a mess, we need to get a passion for that heap.  Men are not messes that God can’t fix.  God can fix the mess of the lives of others.  If it’s in your heart the messes you see will be messes you see that can be fixed by an Almighty God.  Do you care about the heaps (people that need help from God)? To see that God can fix others, you have to look past the rubbish.  You have to look past what you can see outwardly, and see they have a soul that is in need of help from God.

To be continued……………….

Tonight, Pastor continued his message from this morning.  To get something done in Bible School this week, we are going to have to have God and His help in our lives.  Thirdly, our pride must be hindered.  Realize you’re just a servant and God will build the wall.  God just needs some servants so that the walls can be built that needs to be built.  If God will prosper you, He can make you a good enough teacher this week.  He will be able to use you beyond your comprehension.   There must always be a position to be filled as well. Give notice of the enemies approach.  People that don’t build, don’t care about nothing and they don’t mind helping to tear down what others have tried to build.  A sword (the Bible) must always be present when building to keep off our enemies.  The enemy will be scared to give much opposition because they will be scared they will get hurt.  As a Dad, there is a position you must fill.  As a Pastor, there is a position you must fill.  As a Mom there is a position you must fill.  As a Deacon, there is a position you must fill.  As a teacher, there is a position you must fill.  Lastly, there is a peace from our enemies.  If God prospers you, all things will work out.  The enemy is still there, but there is peace inside the walls that have been built.  The enemy will realize that God is the one that built the wall.  It’s GOD!  God wants us to do what we can do so He can do what we cannot do.  Are you building walls?

We ended the evening with having all the teachers and assistants go to the altar and then all the members knelt around them and prayed over them.  Please pray for our teachers and our assistants this week. Pray that God will be able to use them to build some walls this week, and be able to help some young people.  They truly need your prayers because the devil will be fighting.
