We had a great day in the Lord’s house today. Pastor, Bro. Michael Sales, Sis. Michaela Sales, and Sis. Katy Sales all made it back home from Mexico safely. Glad they had a great time and we are glad that they are home with us again.

This morning for Sunday school we learned about Moses and how he chose to live for God than to live for the devil. Moses had a lot going for him, but he didn’t allow what he had to keep him from living for God. We all have to make a choice whether we are going to live for God or we are going to go the way of the world and the way of the devil. The choice can be easy, but sometimes living for God isn’t always easy. If we practice doing right and practice living for God, the longer we do it, the easier it becomes and the better we will get it. But the same holds true if we practice sin. The longer we practice sin and the longer we do it, the easier it is to sin and eventually live a life of nothing but sin. Moses made his choice to live for God and because of that he saw many miracles happen in his life time and he got to see the presence of God like no one else. We can have the same things happen to our lives if we will yield ourselves to God and live for him.

This morning Pastor preached out of Luke 17:11-19 on “I’m Not Skipping Thanksgiving.” We should never forget to be thankful. Lepers were isolated, irritated and incurable. Leprosy starts small and continually grows. It will eventually eat them alive and eventually it will kill them. Leprosy stars on the inside and eventually shows up on the outside. Sin starts our little and eventually grows bigger and bigger. Sin starts on the inside of us and eventually it will be seen by others on the outside. Don’t skip Thanksgiving because there is a God that looks over nobody. It doesn’t matter how bad the leprosy is, God will not overlook them. There is no one God will not save. It doesn’t matter who you are, what color you are, or what you have done. God still loves you and will still save you. Also don’t skip Thanksgiving because God listens to everyone. God heard all their cries to have mercy on them at the same time. God will listen to your cry of mercy. He’s never too busy to hear your cry. He wants to hear your cry for mercy because He longs to save you. Thirdly, he longs to for the losing one. Jesus was good to all 10 of them but He wanted all of them to return to Him and give thanks. He wants you to come unto Him. The one came back and worshipped Him and thanked Him. Lastly Jesus makes whole the serious ones. Jesus cleansed the one leper on the outside and on the inside as well. He wasn’t just saved from leprosy that day, he was saved from Hell. We should be thankful for what God has done on the inside of our lives. When God saves someone He changes them on the outside and on the inside. God cares about us being serious with Him. Are you skipping Thanksgiving this year? We should NEVER skip Thanksgiving. Actually, we should be thankful every day for all that God has done in our lives because without Him we would have nothing and we would be nothing. Don’t skip Thanksgiving.

Tonight, Pastor preached on “Why Tithe” out of Malachi 3:7-12. Tithing is important to the Christian, or at least it should be important to the Christian. A tithe is 10% of what we make and bring home from our jobs. We should tithe because we want to avoid the curse that we cannot outlive. We don’t need any more curses on our lives. There is no godliness about us if we do not tithe. If we do not tithe we have the curse of God on our lives and on our homes. Tithing is important and serious to God. Also we should tithe so that God can have meat in His house. If we want God to bless us, we have to tithe. God will not bless us if we don’t. God won’t give it to us because we won’t give. God wants us to try Him. God will open the windows of heaven on our lives if we tithe and trust Him and try Him with our giving. We shouldn’t be worried about being rich and wealthy, but being in God’s will so that the work of God can go forward. If we tithe God will rebuke the devourer so the fruits of our life will stand. God will bless us and our family if we tithe. When we give we’re teaching our children to trust God. We should tithe so that God can bless us and our children instead of cursing us. Tithing is important to God and therefore should be important to us as Christians. Tithe and let God bless you and your family.
