We had a great service tonight in the Lord’s house. Pastor preached out of Romans 12:1-2 on “The Urgent Message.” The message that the Apostle Paul penned down here is a very urgent message for us as Christians to heed and to do. The message is urgent because it is a personal message. We zero in on the state of everyone else and we don’t look at the state of our selves. The message is for us personally not for someone else. We as individuals need to look into the message and apply it to our lives. It’s a personal message because we are supposed to present ourselves as a living sacrifice to God. It is our job to get our bodies to be the sacrifice God wants and needs. We are the ones to present ourselves to God not someone else. God will either like our sacrifice tomorrow or He will not. The problem with us presenting our bodies as a sacrifice to God is we care more about what others think than what God thinks. Also the message is urgent because purity is its motive. God’s motive is always holy. Holiness and purity should be the motive of every born again Christian. Purity ought to motivate us because it motivates God. We ought to keep our mouths shut against someone who’s motivating their life through purity. We should examine our lives and start motivating ourselves through purity like them. We can always be and do better. Why is purity not motivating us? We don’t see the urgency of the message. Thirdly the message is urgent because the pressure of the world is mighty. If we’re not careful and we don’t see the urgency of the message we will conform to this world. God told us not to conform to the world because He knew the world would draw us if we are not careful and see the urgency of the message. We might be surprised at what we might do tomorrow. We conform to the world when we are not motivated by purity. The word conform means to fashion or to pattern. Lastly the message is urgent because it is pointed in its mark. God’s target is found in the last three words of verse two “…perfect will of God.” Prove means to scrutinize or examine. We need to prove it to our self and to God. We need to prove that what we are doing is the will of God for our lives. We need to prove it is the will of God to God. Why do we do what we do? Do you see the urgency of the message? If not, we need to open our eyes and see the urgency of the message of Romans 12:1-2.

Please pray for our Pastor as he is doing his best to lead the We Stand With God Rally for the state of Georgia. Pray that he will have leadership and guidance in what to do and how to handle all the situations and problems that he may encounter in preparing for this rally. Come join us at the state capital of Georgia on April 22, 2016 for the We Stand With God Rally.
