Honoring Servicemen

On February 13, 2005, the Lord impressed on Dr. Young to honor a few local men

 that served in the Iraq War during 2004.

Thought you might enjoy some of the pictures of the service.

Bro. Kenneth Hewett, church deacon, is presenting this soldier with a special plaque that

our church had made.

Eric Martin fought for our county for over a year.  While over in Iraq he encountered some close calls on his life.

(Eric grew up in the pastor's neighborhood.)

Eric Martin is thanking the church and telling some things that he saw being

accomplished in Iraq.

Bro. Hewett is reading the plaque to the congregation and the soldier.

The 3 men were honored by us. 

Our church was honored by them allowing us to honor them. 

After we presented the soldiers with their gifts, one of the trio's in the church, sang the

"Statue of Liberty" to the men.  Here Bro. Huey Hayes and Dr. Young hold the flags while the song is being sung.
