“It Ain’t Over Yet”

Genesis 28:10-22

Where Jacob was at in this chapter, he has never been in this place before.  He personally had not dealt with the Lord.  He lived in a home that was blessed by God.  He was afraid to go to sleep, because he was afraid Esau would find him and kill him.

  1. He saw the Lord

Jacob was out of place and uncomfortable, yet he saw God.

What is recorded in this chapter is the conversion of Jacob, the turning point in his life.

He saw God for who He was and who He is.

  1. God was with him

He had a mom and dad that were praying for him.

He was all alone yet God was with him.

God let Jacob know He was with him during this time in his life.

  1. He worshipped the Lord

He took that which was a hard thing and poured oil on it and worshipped.

He took that which was hard and turned it into worship.

We all are going to go through hard times and we are all going to go through thing and be in places where we have never been before.  It may get so hard on us that we want to quit and give up, but we must remember that it ain’t over yet.  God is still working today like He worked in Jacob’s life that day.  In the midst of our hard place God will still show up in our life if we so desire it.  God is with us whether we know it or not.  He will never leave us nor forsake us.  There are times when we are all alone and no one can help us but we must remember that God is there with us and is helping us.  When we turn the hard things in life into worship, church will change for us.  God can get us back to where we need to be because it ain’t over yet.

Bus Ministry News:

The Lord allowed us to have 12 riders this morning.  We did not have any new riders this morning.  The 12 that were here this morning has been faithful in coming to Sunday School.  Pray that God will continue to bless the bus ministry, the workers, and the ones we are trying to reach.
