“What is God Doing to get Your Attention?”

God wanted Jeremiah to write the book so that His people might repent and then He could forgive them.
- 3 in this chapter is a wonderful verse in our Bible.
God is doing things in our life every day to get our attention before we go too far.
Sin is what separates us from God.
All we have to do is respond to the message He gives us.
- God has a man.
The Lord had a message to give Jeremiah, the man of God.
God uses His men to give us a message that we need.
He wanted their attention before it got too late.
God always has a man to get to His people.
- God has a manual.
God had a book. God wanted Jeremiah to take a book and write His Words in it.
God has a Book for us to read every day.
Our guidance for our everyday lives comes from the Word of God.
God has a Word for us every day.
God has a Word for us to get our attention.
- God has a message.
God has a message just for us.
God has a specific Word for our life.
God has a message for us for this time in our life.
- God has mercy.
God was showing mercy because He said that maybe someone might change because of what they have heard.
There will be no doubt when the message is for us personally.
God wants us to change our ways.
God’s message is a message of mercy.
God has judgment and He will use it on us if He has to.
God will judge us for our actions.
God shows us mercy every day of our lives.
- God has a motive.
God’s people are most attentive on fasting day.
Fasting was about getting their eyes on God.
Fasting was an important day to them.
God is moving things in our life to get our attention.
They had not heard the message yet, but God was moving things around to get them in a palce where it was just them and Him.
If we get mad at the message, we are getting mad at God.
How many times has God sent us a message and we shut up the Word of God. WE might as well have thrown it in the fire as well.
- God will make our life miserable.
We do not have to listen and we do not have to pay attention. But we must remember that God has the last word.
We do not need to worry about the man of God because God will take care of Him as long as he is preaching the truth.
God will punish us for not listening and paying attention to God and His Word.
Psalm 119:89
God knows there are some that will want to hear the Word of God.
