“There is Still Oil”
Matthew 25:1-13

John 14:1-6
1 John 5:10-13
5 of these virgins were wise and 5 of these virgins were foolish. What made 5 of them foolish?
They all had wicks, they were all virgins, they all had lamps, and they all wanted to meet the Bridegroom.
The difference between the virgins is the oil (Holy Spirit), they were not saved.
Many have religion, but they have not the Lord.
The devil is after you to lull you to sleep.
You should “watch” because you do not know when He is coming again.
There is still oil:
- Because the Bridegroom is still waiting on you – v. 5
God gave them another space of time.
God is still waiting on you; He is waiting for you to get in.
It does not matter what you have done or where you have gone, God is still waiting on you to get in.
There is still hope.
- Because the cry has not come yet – v. 6
Yet the cry has come that Jesus is coming again. Every man of God cries out every week the Jesus is coming again.
The final cry has not been made yet, so there is still oil.
Whether you believe it or not, Jesus is coming again.
The reality of you meeting the Lord is real.
Every knee will bow whether here on earth, or in heaven.
The final cry will come one of these days.
- Because there is opportunity still – vs. 8-10
Isaiah 51:1
There was still opportunity for them to get saved.
Without oil the lamp will not burn.
There will be people in hell who tried to live the Christian life yet they were not saved.
You can still get oil.
- Because the door has not shut yet – v. 10
“The door was shut” is dreadful, fearful words, words of no hope.
Just because you have not seen Him come does not mean He is not coming.
The door has not been shut yet.
There is still hope for you to be saved.
Get in while the door is still open.
One day soon the door will be shut and all hope will be gone.
While you knock on the shut door, you will remember every opportunity you had to get saved if you do not get saved today.
