“You Gotta Life Different”
Hosea 3:1-5

God tried to put on Hosea the love that He has.
Verse 3 is a picture of what the Lord does.
We must choose to live different.
There was no desire in Hosea’s life to make Gomer a slave.
- He desire a closeness again
There are many times that you walk away from the closeness of God.
Hosea wanted that closeness again.
You have to choose to live different to have a close relationship with God.
You will be different if you choose to live different.
You cannot walk in fire if you do not have a close relationship with God.
If you are going to make it with God, you have to have a close relationship with God.
God wants you to be with Him.
- Have to put away that which is a pull to you.
“Thou shalt have no other god’s before me.”
Whatever God isn’t, pull away from it because there is a pull towards it.
All the gods of the world are not ugly.
The gods of the world are whatever pulls you away from God.
Sin is like quicksand, it is hard to get out of it.
One god leads to another and it turns into a lifestyle.
You can live like a harlot and still sit on a church pew.
- The possessiveness of God
God did not by you so you can be whatever you want to be; but to be near Him and to be what He wants you to be.
He purchased you for Himself.
You must make a decision to live right and do right. Just because you go to church does not mean you are living right.
Be different on purpose.
If you do not live different you will live like the world.
If you stay around the things of the world long enough it will start to attract you.
You are His; you have been bought with a price if you are saved.
God cares for you and will meet all your needs.
God wants you to want Him.
If you will be for Him then He will be for you.
God will take care of you if you will stay close to Him.
God is with you from now on.
Make up your mind whether you are going to live different or not.
If you are going to serve God, you have to make up your mind to be different.
