If you are saved there should be a desire in your heart and life to change; if there is not a desire then something is wrong spiritually.
- She feasts on the very best – v. 8
The ant does not care what it is, she will eat it.
They are after the best that they can get to store up for the winter.
Every crumb makes a difference in the ant’s life.
She gets to all the food that she can get to.
She is diligent in her work.
Winter will come in your life, so you better get what you can in the summer time while you can.
The ant is preparing for her future.
The message tonight might not mean anything to you tonight, but one day it will.
When problems come will you quit because you have not been preparing in the summer time?
The burdens in winter time are all different, but the effects are still the same.
Capitalize on every moment God deals with your heart and you better store it up for the winter.
You never know what the winter will be like, so you need to prepare as much as you can.
- She does not waste her time – vs. 9-10
You need sleep, but if you love sleep in the summer time, you are wasting your time.
If the ant sleeps through what it is supposed to be doing, they are wasting their time.
Do not waste the talent that God has given you.
God has given you a talent to use for Him, and you should use it for Him to the best of your ability.
Do not take for granted your talent, and do not waste it in the summer time.
Use your talent while you can.
If you do not let God change you, you will become satisfied where you are at now. Everything will not always work out every time. Never take anything for granted in your life.
- The ant retains her value – v. 11
The opposite of poverty is value.
It is not just talking about poverty of money, but it is also talking about poverty spiritually.
Do not settle for less than God’s best for your life.
If you do not listen, you will go broke spiritually.
Poverty comes when there is no stability in your life.
It will come unexpected, so you better be ready.
You never know when your winter time will come.
The ant will not be met with devastation because she is prepared for the winter.
Keep going your way, keep going the wrong direction and poverty will come your way.
A person that wants to stay this way cannot be changed by any person.
Is your life changing for God?
Do you desire to change?
Are you storing up in the summer time to get ready for the winter time in your life?
