Jude 1-25

You are living in a day where people want to be entertained at church rather than to come to church to get help from the Lord.

Jude is a very rich book in the Bible.

If you ever need to get back to the Bible, it is today.

False doctrines are deceiving many people today and faithfulness is declining.

God was warning Jude so that he could warn others.

The world is pulling at you today on every hand.

You constantly have to have your fences up to stay away from the fatal trends of the world.

Trends will either take you away from something or to something.

  1. Fatal trends.

The devil will continue to use the bait that works the best.

You choose to do wrong; the devil does not make you do it.

Matthew 7:34-35

Just because you cannot see it, does not mean it is not happening.

  1. A) Sinfulness – v. 4-8

The mystery of iniquity is at work today just like it was back then.

Abortion is so sinful.  One day God may reveal what could have been done with the child that was aborted.

Preachers do not preach against sin any longer, it is all happy go lucky preaching.

The problem today is people are calling evil good and good evil.

  1. B) Selfishness – v. 11

You want things done your way.

It is all about you and no one else.

God cannot work in a heart that is selfish.

When you elevate yourself you see nothing wrong.

Selfishness never pays anything.

When you become selfish you become your own authority.

  1. C) Sensualism – vs. 12-18

It is about how you feel and not about facts.

In sensualism you only serve God when you want to or when you feel like it.

As a Christian you should serve God no matter what happens.

God deserves more out of you.

Satan hates you because every time he sees you he sees God because you are created in God’s image.

The devil will destroy your life.

  1. Fruitful trends
  2. A) Scriptures

The world needs more of the Word of God.

You should show others the Word of God through the life you live.

Stand for what is right.

  1. B) Brings conversion

Win someone or someone’s to Christ.

You should be a soul-winner for Christ.

  1. C) Commitment to God – v. 21

Commitment to God still works.

Commitment without consecration will not last.

Consecration is allowing God to be your Father.

Consecration is doing whatever the Father tells you to do.

  1. D) Have compassion like Christ

Compassion like Christ will not quit.

Compassion like Christ will make a difference.

  1. E) Cooperation with Christ – v. 23

God wants to use you as a rescue for those that are perishing.

You work together with Christ.

Follow the old paths.  Do not follow the trends of the Devil.
