“He Stands Alone”

Isaiah 40:6-18

God doesn’t need anyone to help Him.  He can do it all by Himself.

Nothing changes Who our God is!

  1. In His Scriptures – v. 8

The Bible needs to be re-read not re-written.

The Bible endures alone, is valid alone, and is proved alone.

His Word is magnified above His own name.

It will always be around.

He will protect His Word.

His Word will never fail you.

It will stand when everything around it crumbles to pieces.

  1. In His strength – v. 10

His hand is a strong hand.

It’s a hand of judgment and also a hand that lifts you up.

His strength will stand alone.

Who or what can compare to His strength? – Nothing can.

His strong hand does not mean there will not be any opposition, but it does mean He will win.

You need Him; He doesn’t need you.

  1. In His sensitiveness – v. 11

He cares like a Shepherd.

He fights like a warrior but He cares like a Shepherd.

He knows all about your troubles.

He cares about you.

He has a concern like a Shepherd.

He will feed you and meet your needs.

Genesis 33:13

He is calm like a Shepherd.

He will gently lead you along.

The Holy Spirit is sensitive to you desiring to do right, just as much as He is sensitive to you doing wrong.

He’s just as sensitive to your needs.

  1. In His scales – v. 12

He holds the water in the hollow of His hand.

Heaven is measure from His thumb to His pinky.

This just shows how big God really is.

God stands alone; no one can do this but Him.

The dust of the earth is measure in 3 of His fingers; the thumb, the pointer finger, and the middle finger.

The mountains and hills are measured in His scales.

Who held the scales?

He cares all about you.  Your needs, your family, and your finances.

  1. In His scholastics – vs. 13-14

Who is going to be God’s teacher?  Nobody is going to teach Him.  Nobody can teach Him.  He is the one that teaches you.

There is nobody that can mess up the earth.

God has nothing that man can destroy.

  1. With His renewal of strength for His people. – v. 31

When it feels like your bottom has been taken out of your life, just wait on Him.

He will renew your strength and get you back to going again.

If the world gets you, you’ll not have anything.
