“What Did They Watch?”
Luke 14:1-4

They were watching Him for mistakes; they were watching and waiting for Him to mislead them.
The world is watching you too. They are waiting for you to mess up or to make a mistake.
They are looking to prove it is not right. They are looking for something they believe you have that they do not have, but they want it disproved.
- AS the Sovereign was at work – 13:30-33 – His power
The biggest thing we can display is that the Sovereign is in control of everything.
They are watching you because they are looking for someone to be in control of this world.
The world says that the world is out of control, but God actually has everything under His control.
What are they watching in your life?
Can others see God in your life?
- The sorrows of the Saviour – 13:34
He is sorrowful because He sent prophets and people to them to give them answers and to help them, but they killed them or stoned them.
They could care less about God’s men and God’s message.
God’s heart is broken when people reject His message.
You cannot quit giving out the message of God even if you are rejected by the world.
The world watches what breaks our heart.
They are watching you; they are waiting for you to make a mistake.
- AS they saw His love for sinners – 14:1
How is your love for sinners?
Are you displaying the love of God to sinners?
People are watching you as you go to church.
They watch how you work, the watch even the little things in your life.
Are you showing God’s love, or the world’s love?
The love of God will condemn the world not make them feel better.
Is your love for sinners real?
You will be rejected, but you must keep going forward. Continue anyway!
You get depressed at what you cannot control and then you do not continue because you get depressed.
Somebody is watching you and how you respond makes all the difference in the world.

If you stay faithful and respond right, the hurting will come to you when they need someone to help them.
People can be reached just because they are watching you.
You may be the next thing to Jesus in their life. Is Jesus displayed through your life that you are living?
We have to watch Him so that we can be like Him.
