“Going Back and Looking Back On the Sea Shore”
Exodus 14:13-31

Pharaoh and the Egyptians is always a picture of the devil and the world in the Bible.
When was the last time you took a look back at God delivering you from Egypt and Pharaoh?
Remember what God has delivered you from.
- 1:13-14 When you didn’t want them anymore.
Do you remember the bondage you had on your life? The bondage that sin had on your life.
Do you remember when you didn’t want that bondage anymore?
You cannot break the bondage by yourself.
There must come a time when you get tired of the bondage and you want to get out of it.
- 5:13-15, 23 – When you didn’t want those task masters anymore.
The world, flesh, and devil are beating those that are in bondage still today.
You have to get tired of the taskmasters before you can get delivered.
- 7:14, 8:29, 32; 9:7; 9:35 – When you don’t want their lies anymore
Pharaoh kept saying he would let them go, yet he didn’t.
The devil is a liar and the father of lies.
The devil will never let you go, though he says he will. He will do everything in his power to keep you in bondage and to keep you under his control.
God can break your bondage, but only God can.
- 14:23 – When the Egyptians were pursing you.
The devil is pursing you to keep you in bondage. He wants you back under his control.
The devil will not ever give up.
The devil is never satisfied, he always wants another soul to control.
He is pursuing your life; he doesn’t want to let you go.
- Remember when you got over.
Remember when you got on your knees before God and surrendered your life to Him.
When God saved you and changed your life.
You’ll never break the bondage of sin without the help of God.
When was the last time you had been to the sea shore to see what all God has delivered you from?
Your problem is you get so saved that you forget all that God has delivered you from. It is good for you to go back from time to time to remember what God has done for you.
