God is in control of your life.
If you do not stand in the small things, you will not stand in the big things.
- The provocation to compromise.
There are 3 things that provoke you to compromise.
- a) The crowd
It could have been easy for them to compromise, everyone else was doing it.
Choose to do right even if you are the only one standing for what is right.
Sometimes you will be the only one that will stand.
- b) The countrymen
Other Jews bowed down that day.
Your friends may fall and not stand, but do not let that determine what you do.
Determine to stand, even if your friends fall.
- c) The consequence
There was death if they stood against him.
No matter the consequence, stand.
Standing is always worth the cost.
You can make people mad because you stood for what is right.
- The proving of character
They did not desire to fit in and join the world.
They were considered troublemakers because they were not like everyone else.
Others will say to you everyone else is doing it, but say to them, by God’s grace I will not do it.
- a) Their fearlessness
They were not fearful of the world and their talk.
Know the bible and you will be fearless and stand no matter what.
- b) Their faithfulness.
They said kill us, but God is in control of everything.
They were faithful to God in everything, and God took care of them.
- c) Their firmness
Nothing made them fall.
The grace of God helped them stay right.
- The product of courage
- a) The appearance.
God showed up in the fire they faced.
When God shows up, you’ll know it; even the world will see it.
God showed up because they stood and were fearless.
- b) The awareness
They knew they were God’s people.
Can someone look at you and see you’re different, and that you’re real.
Everyone noticed that day.
- c) The adoration
They blessed and magnified God.
- d) The advancement.
God will reward those that are faithful to Him.
