Is God still looking for a mother to have a John?
Would God pick you to be his mother?
- She was righteous – v. 6
She was righteous before God, not just man, which is the most important.
She did not put on her spiritual life, it was her life.
She cared more about what God cared about her than what man thought of her.
She was righteous no matter where she went.
- She wasn’t stagnant – v. 6
She didn’t stay still, still kept walking forward with god.
She didn’t walk backwards either.
Your kids need a mother that daily reads her Bible and prays.
She was blameless in her life and walk before God.
- She wasn’t bitter – v. 7
She was barren and wasn’t bitter against God or man for that.
Even barren, she was saying she would serve God still.
She chose not to be bitter; she instead chose to be thankful.
She dealt with what she had and was given in life.
- She loved the Word of God – v. 6
She did what she did because she loved God.
She believed the commandments of God.
She was the same everywhere she went.
- She was filled with the Holy Ghost – vs. 39-41
You’re only filled with the Holy Ghost when you are emptied of everything else that is not of God.
Spoke with boldness and praised God.
