“The Misunderstanding of When God is Working”

Judges 6:11-16

Gideon voices to God about what is going on.  Gideon has Questions:

I.    If you’re really helping us, why is it so hard? Vs. 13

When you try to get closer to God, the harder it is.

If you are trying to serve God and move forward it is not going to be easy.

II.   If you’re working, why am I not seeing miracles?

People will try to discourage you by saying,”Why isn’t this happening?”

III. You have deserted us.

Gideon told God “We needed help, but we’re not getting any help.  The Lord had not left, they had.

IV.  Why did you pick the most destitute of men to get the job done?

Gideon kept talking to God and listening.

You cannot leave when it gets difficult.
