People today categorize people and those listed in verses 1, 2, & 4 are people that are bad enough to go to hell.
Repentance – Change of mind. Change of heart.
If we do not change our mind about God, we will spend eternity in hell.
Repentance is for the saved as well as to the lost.
- Death is not determined by our judgment of sinners.
What we think of sinners and their sin does not determine their eternity.
Those that do not repent are the ones that will go to hell.
- Death is not determined by our innocence.
Jesus tells them “nay” to those that are innocent as well.
- Suffering is not always due to great sin.
They were centering on the wrong thing.
They were making judgments about others when they should have been concerned about themselves.
- All men are guilty enough to perish.
Whether good or bad every person is destined to perish.
If we get to heave it is because we have repented of our sins.
We are all destined to hell, but God made a way for us to repent by dying on the cross for our sins.
Eternal destiny is not determined by our judgment.
Going to church does not change our mind.
God understands repentance, not good works for salvation.
- All men are doomed to perish.
Perish – put out of way entirely.
We are doomed if we do not change our mind about God.
A life that is a mess is a life that does not have God in it.
- Only one way to keep from perishing.
REPENT!
To the sinner it is the greatest word they can yield to.
Repentance is just getting clean with God.
A sinner and a saint can repent.
