  1. Plenty of robes.

There was more than one robe in his father’s closet.

God clothes us every day with His robe of righteousness.

God has a robe for you, but you have to do the coming back to Him.

If you come back to God, He will cover you with His robe of righteousness.

  1. Plenty of rings

Rings were a mark of affections and a mark of wealth.

A ring meant you were invited to the party.

A ring meant you were loved.

Don’t trade what you have for what the world has to off you.  It is not a fair trade and you will end up the loser in the end.

Leftovers can help you stay in the right direction.

The son took for granted the love His father and his kinship.

How often do you take for granted the love of God in your life and Him being your Father.

God will never quit loving you.

  1. Plenty of shoes.

He went to the hog pen with his best shoes on.

The new shoes put on still fit him perfectly like he never left home.

The son wore out his dad’s shoes in the world.

When the new shoes got put on, He walked a different way and he never went back to the hog pen.

When you come back to God, He will put new shoes on your feet and you will desire to walk a different path and you’ll not desire to go back to the world again.

  1. He killed the best cow.

What God has given to you, can be received at any time.

God’s leftovers is still there, whether you take them or not; and whether you realize them or not.

You can be in the house of God and get bitter.

There was not a close relationship between the son that stayed right and the father.

If you’re bitter the party will go on with your.

The work of God will still go on even if you are the one that is bitter.

Enjoy the working of God on your life when He works on your life.

Bitterness will cause you to take for granted the leftovers in your life.

  1. Plenty of forgiveness.

This boy was filthy and lived a worldly life, yet he knew his father would forgive him.

Every time you are cold on God, god is ready to forgive you.

God is standing with open arms ready to forgive you.

God will never run short on forgiveness.
