“I’m Not in the Trading Business”

1 Kings 21:1-3 & 2 Chronicles 12:8-10

Rehoboam traded gold shields for brass shields. He did not even fight Shishak.

Naboth would not trade his vineyard and he died for it, but God took revenge against Ahab and Jezebel.

1 Kings 10:16

Because it did not cost Rehoboam anything, he was willing to give it away. Solomon had 300 shields of gold made.

Do not trade the heritage that has been handed down to you by your parents and/or grandparents.

Trade what God has given you and you will end up with brass.

If you trade you are putting no value on the things of God and the value will keep going down and down.

The devil never trades fairly.

The devil is not satisfied with the heritage you have.

Get an attitude with the devil and do not trade.

Shields were used at battle time to reflect the sun and blind the enemy.

Have a testimony that comes from God.

If you trade you will give up your testimony and there will be no reflection of the SON in your life.

Take a look at Samson who traded his hair. He went in his own strength instead of the strength of God.

Samson lost everything because he decided he wanted to trade.

Trade your testimony; you are losing the most important thing you have.

Lose your testimony and you will struggle the rest of your life with your spiritual life.

It may take a little time; you may not lose it all at once.

From far away brass looks like gold.

Trade with the devil and you will have a hard time being real.

You do not want to be honest about what you’ve really lost.

You cannot get the truth out of those that are not real.

The value is on what is real.

Do not trade real for fake.

What is fake is worthless.

The devil will try to convince you that what he has is better than what you have now.

The devil will slip in and trade you for brass.

The devil does not have anything better than what you have now.

Trade to the devil and your life will be a mess.

Trade with the devil and your life will have no testimony.
