“Is Hell Making Room For You?”

Isaiah 5:8-14

Hell is enlarging itself for those that have rejected Jesus Christ.

People that know what is right are going to hell.

  1. When covetousness becomes a part of your life and it is more important to you than being born again. – v. 8

How important are things to you?

Are things a god to you?

The devil knows what will draw you away from God.

Do you have to have what everyone else has?

How much do you covet the things of this world?

If you are covetous you are never satisfied.

  1. When you have everything – v. 10

They were blinded by what they had, yet they had absolutely nothing.

What you say you have and what you really have are two different things.

You are constantly looking for happiness but cannot find it.

What you don’t have bankrupts you because you can’t see what you already have.

How has doing things your way worked out for you?

If you are not careful as a Christian you can get your eyes off of what you do have.

  1. When your life is filled with substances – v. 11

They wake up looking for wine.

The liquor bottle is waiting on you.

Hell is trying to make a place for you by using alcohol, drugs, and other substances.

Do you search more for substances instead of God?

Substances will take you away from God and keep you from drawing to God.

The devil uses substances to blind you.

The devil is using substances to derange your mind from knowing the truth.

The world will take you to hell.

  1. Partying was all that was on their mind – v. 12

The devil always has his music.

Rock-n-roll, country, and contemporary music is straight out of the pits of hell.

Listening to Gospel music does not mean you are saved.

The world’s music will control your mind.

  1. They didn’t want to know about God – v. 13

Is hell making room for you today?

Every time you turn Him away is one less chance you have to come to God.

One time will be one time too late because God will no longer deal with your heart about salvation.
