“Missed Opportunities”

Romans 9:1-5

Israel had all the opportunities but they missed it.

When Israel got away from God and served other gods, they always came back to the One True God.

Both lost and saved miss opportunities.

  1. Of salvation

If Paul could have died for his people he would have done it.

There is someone who loves you so much that He did die for you.

You hear the messages of God yet you keep walking on like you never heard anything.

What kind of care would someone have to have to say what Paul said in these verses?

If you are not careful you will miss your opportunity.

You don’t get all the opportunities you want in life.

They were the people of God, they knew God and yes they missed their opportunity.

  1. Family of peculiar people

Your lineage means nothing; you can still miss the opportunity.

Just because your mom is saved does not mean you are saved.

You are not saved by your lineage.

  1. The glory of God

If you are saved, you should be serving.

The greatest opportunity on earth is to be saved.

They knew about the glory of God in the past.

Just because the glory fell back then does not mean you are saved.

The glory does not fall unless His people are right with God.

The glory has been in American before because you can see it in the churches around here.

Do not let genealogy keep you from knowing the glory of God.

The Israelites put more emphasis on who they were and they missed the whole point of everything.

  1. The covenants

They have all the promises of God but they have forgotten those promises.

The glory of God should change your life

You have all the promises but they were made for you when you are doing something.

Every promise God made was to someone who was doing something.

  1. Giving of the law.

The 10 Commandments were given to their family.

If it is not doing anything for you it does not matter if you have it or not.

They talked about all this stuff, but it was never a part of them.

You know about God, but does God know you?
