“Romans 12”
Romans 12:1-2

These verses are urgent in every Christians life today no matter how long we have been saved.
- The plea
It is a personal call.
It is an urgent call.
We are saved because God has pity on us. God saves people by His mercy.
He is urging us by the mercy of God.
He wanted them to get involved.
- The presentation.
“Present your bodies” – As a present to God. We should be willing to do whatever God wants us to go.
“A living sacrifice” – To put at ones disposal.
We should be saying “God, here is my body and my life” with no strings attached.
Too many times we are at the disposal of others more than at God’s disposal.
God needs someone to live for Him today. What is hindering us?
- The purity
“Holy, acceptable unto God”
We justify our self to someone else because then we aren’t all that bad.
We are not as holy as we need to be.
Our life is to be holy before God.
Our purity should not be based on someone else, but on God.
There should be purity in our mind.
There is a huge battle for our mind.
“Which is your reasonable service”.
It is only reasonable – to not go back where we came from.
If we are going to serve God, we are going to have to fight.
To keep purity in the home, we have to keep the order of the home right.
- The pull
There is a pull from the world to conform.
There is a pull every day of our life by the world, unless you hibernate and stay in bed all day.
What we do and believe is not based on others, but on God’s Word.
People do not just fall into sin, they gradually go that way.
The devil wants us to conform to him.
“But be ye transformed”
That is changing from one thing to another.
It is having a change of mind about something.
We have to have the transforming power of God to transform our lives.
“By the renewing of your mind”
Have to have a changed mind.
Our mind is renewed by being in the Word of God.
We can confess our sin, forsake our sin, and get help from God’s Word.
“That ye may prove”
Have a renewed mind so that we can prove that we are trying to live right.
We cannot get close to God because we will not get rid of the sin that is in our life. If we sin, we need to get it right with God and with others if need be.
