Paul is in prison while he is writing this letter.
Every time Paul thinks of those at Philippi it brings joy to his life.
Paul had a lot of sorrows in his life yet this church helped him get over his sorrows.
- A real church always brings thankfulness out of those that are real – v. 3
It was the pleasure they brought to Paul’s life because they helped him.
Remembrance – recollect memories.
A real church will cause others to be thankful.
Paul knew what it was like to be alone.
He remembered their services.
- A real church brings joy to the Christian – v. 4
Every day he prayed, he thought of them and prayed for them.
Paul never forgot this church.
A real church will draw out the joy of God’s believer.
Paul prayed with joy over them.
- A real church brings about faithfulness – v. 5
They got involved in the work of the Lord.
Real churches will do something for God.
Their consistency brought joy to Paul.
What is in your heart is what matters.
A person that gets saved will get busy in God’s work.
They were faithful from the beginning.
There has to be determination in the heart to stay faithful.
Stay faithful in the Word of God.
- A real church always beckoning for the Lord.
Jesus will carry you all the way to the end.
God is able.
God is doing the performance through your life.
There is nothing better than a life guided by God.
Let God work in you and you will be the best.
God will help you finish right.
- A real church always brings unity – v. 7
A real church is in unity together.
Even in the battle they were in unity.
They were Paul’s partners.
Unity will keep you in it until the end.
