“The Fruit Bearing Christian”

John 15:1-6

You’re headed for disaster if you’re not bearing fruit.

Others should matter to you.  Do you pray for them and are you concerned about them?

Be careful of what you love.

You are nothing with Him.

You were saved to bear fruit.

How zealous are you to see the church vibrant with praises within it.

v.2b – God wants to pure you, and He does it through the preaching of the Word of God.

v.3 – You cannot bear fruit dirty.  You have to go to this Book and get your life clean.

You know more than you have repented of.

v.4 – Be happy in the Lord.  You’ll be happy if you abide in Him.

  1. 5 – Have you meditated on how God has used you?

God will give you wisdom in how to deal with people.

If you hunger to help others knows God, God will teach you things.

  1. 6 – He was a branch bearing fruit, he had power with God, but now he is withered.

You can’t live just any way you want to as a Christian.

1 Corinthians 3:13

Your works will be seen one day.

Your works will suffer loss and you’ll stand before God ashamed.

Produce hunger in your children’s life to produce fruit through you producing fruit.

 

  1. Walks in open confession before God

You’ll confess your sins before God.  Nothing is hid before Him.

1 John 1:6-10

This person desires to bear fruit.

 

  1. Walks and fellowships with Christ

1 John 2:6, 27

It’s a personal walk with Him.

It is putting your feet in His steps.

Do things God’s way.

 

  1. One that continues in the church and its plan.

The church will mean so much to you.

Be at church every time it is open.

Coming to church praises the Lord.

1 John 2:19

Get away from church, and you’ll end up in wickedness.

 

  1. Possesses confidence he is right with God

1 John 2:28

Have confidence you’re His child.

 

  1. One that does not walk in continuous sin.

1 John 3:6

Be careful and stay away from them.

This person has victory over sin.

 

  1. Actively surrenders himself to be obedient to God

1 John 3:24

 

  1. One that has the Holy Spirit of God indwelling them.

 

  1. One that dwells in love and fellowship with the other believers.

 

Are you bearing fruit?

Are you sad with no joy because you’re withered away?

You’ll bring reproach to the name of God if you’re not bearing fruit.
