These verses are talking about men and women of God that have lived their life serving the Lord.

They were looking for a place called heaven.

What makes this place a better country?:

  1. It is a sinless country

Psalm 85:11

It is a wonderful country because there is no sin there.

The world we live in today is a country filled with sin.

We will no longer have to deal with sin when we get to the better country.

Romans 1:8

  1. We will be spotless when we get there.

We will be clean and we will be like Him when we get there.

There will be no more memories to deal with of our past mistakes and failures.

1 Peter 1:18-19

There will be no more sin in our life.

  1. It is a place of no sickness.

No hospitals or ICU’s are needed in heaven.

There will be no more diabetes, no gallbladder problems, no back surgeries, no more cancer, no more blindness, no more growing old, and no more death.

Sin causes sickness and we are living in a world of sickness.

There will be no death in heaven because there will be no sickness there.

  1. It is a place of no separation.

Revelation 21:1

No family will be separated up there that is saved.

No more separation from God.

We will see those that have gone on before us that were saved.

There will be no more parting over there.

Isaiah 9:6

No separation in our prayers any longer.

Everything in heaven will be perfect.

  1. It is a place where there is no storm clouded skies.

There will be no more storms in our lives.

There will be no phone calls at midnight to break our heart.

No marriages will be torn apart; no children will be abused by another.

There are storms we will never forget here on earth, but one day our storms will forever be gone.

Every day will be a good day up there.

There will be no darkness there, and there will be no dark times either.

  1. It is a place where the Saviour will dwell.

The real reason they wanted to go there was because of Jesus.

They had lived their lives for Jesus and that is why they wanted to go there.

One of these days we will see our Saviour face to face.

We should want to thank Him for always being there for us.

Nobody can be likened unto the Saviour.

1 Peter 1:4
