God is still looking for a man today in 2019
God is looking for a man that loves the Lord and desires to serve Him.
- Too many taken over by idols of the world. – v. 3
An idol is anything that takes the place of God in your life.
Be careful about the domineering things in your life.
Cell phones have become an idol today.
What is separating you from being used by God this evening?
What makes you tick? Is it the things of this world, or the things of God?
Let an idol get in your life and it will take you down.
- Had the wrong attitude toward their parents – v. 7
Respect and care for your mom and dad.
God isn’t going to use your if you do not respect your mom and dad.
If you don’t respect your mom and dad you will not respect any authority in your life.
Parents need to be a leader so your kids will want to follow you.
- Despised the sacred things – vs. 7-8
Worship when your heart gets clear before God.
God despises fake worship, or worship that is against God.
Things in the house of God are sacred to God, and they should be sacred to you.
Do not forget the sacredness of God’s ways.
- They were given over to lust – v. 11
No one thinks about divorce and remarriage any more being wrong.
Lust is running rampant in churches today.
Take a stand and keep yourself pure.
You will not get away with what you do.
Just as God has a plan for your life, so does the devil.
- They were filled with greed – v. 12
Filled with greed and they had forgotten God.
They allowed their money to control their life.
They had to have it.
Their job meant everything to them.
Money controlled their life.
Get closer to God and you will not lack anything.
- They had become unprofitable – v. 18
Because of their love for the world and the things of the world they became unprofitable.
Use the talent God has give you, do not bury it.
If you do not serve God, don’t blame everyone else in your life and in your past.
Serve Him because you want to serve Him.
- They were not telling the truth when they were preaching. – vs. 25-26
Tell the truth because the truth is what will set you free.
Be thankful the truth is told to you and it pricks your heart.
Let God desire to pick your life to use for His glory and honor.
If God was looking for a man, would He choose you?
