“You Made a Mistake, Now What?”

2 Chronicles 19:1-4

We all make mistakes in life because we are all human.  We make mistakes, and it is not the mistake that gives us a fit but it is the rebellion that comes from the truth.

  1. Get concerned about God’s people.

We do not need to wallow in the mistakes we have made.

We need to quit wallowing and get concerned about our family and those in God’s house.

We need to admit our mistake and then get back up and go on.

We should get concerned about what we can fix.

We cannot do anything about our past, but we can do something about the days that lie ahead of us.

We need to do something about the problem.

  1. Get honest.

We should be honest and fear God in what we do.

Not many people are honest today.

When we learn to be honest we will be open.

If we learn to be honest we will not have the tendency to cover up sin.

  1. Get serious with God.

Jehoshaphat knew he needed God’s help with this upcoming battle in chapter 20.

We have to let God help us get over our mistakes.  If we do not have God’s help we will go back to it again.

When things are going wrong, we need to take a time out with God and get serious with Him.

It is better to not know what to do then to do something stupid.

God open with God and ask God for help with our way in which we should go.

  1. Get thankful.

God was going to fight their battle for them, and singers were appointed to help with the battle.

They sang praises to God before the battle ever began.

If we act like we have already won the battle that will tick our enemy off.

  1. Be careful.

If we are not careful we will forget how we got to where we are at today.

We are either going to have to get serious, or else we will talk about our mistakes the rest of our life.
